AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Eunice Evelyn Davis, 79, entered into rest on Friday, August 29, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Platt's Funeral Home Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Ray S. Dixon and Dr. Bobby E. Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church and the Cornerstone Fellowship Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Davis was a warmhearted, giving person who was always looking out for and helping those in need. Mrs. Davis is survived by her four sons; Larry Newton, Edward Newton, Alvin Newton, and Gary Newton, her ten daughters; Renee Garland, Elaine Davis, Joyce Eastabrook, Audrey Martin, Lounetta Odell, Brenda Doolittle, Darlene Woods, Betty Moss, Doris Newton, and JoAnn Briggs, her brother; Doc Davis, her two sisters; Letha Klatt and Mary Wagness, her fifty four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and her many loving daughters and sons in law. Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her son Terry Newton. Pallbearers will be Donald Williams, Bradley Taylor, Ronnie Woods, Larry Newton, Jr., Brian Myers, and Robert Eastabrook, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Martin, Chad Newton, Jason Newton, and Brad Newton. The family will receive friends on Sunday August 31, 2008 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Platt's Funeral Home Crawford Avenue Chapel.
