Charles Lee Varner, 58, of Melissa passed away Jan. 14, 2003. He was born July 12, 1944 in San Antonio, to Mac and Marie (Hightower) Varner. He married Vicky McCain on May 30, 2002 in Sherman. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Varner of Melissa; daughters Christy McKinny of Kilgore, Debra Bates and Jennifer Milam, both of Longview and Nadra Varner of Richardson; son Chase Varner of Richardson; stepdaughters Trina Harris and Tammie Pearson, both of Sherman; 13 grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flesher Chapel in Van Alstyne with Al Hall, officiating. Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Flesher Chapel.
