Darlene was born to Lorena and Haskell Vaughn. She attended Raytown South High School and graduated from Devry Institute with an associate's degree. Darlene moved to Texas in 1994 and began her career with AT&T in 1998. Darlene will be remembered as an animal lover with a good sense of humor, and as a little spitfire of a redhead.
After a long courtship of several years, Darlene married John Robert Lee on January 25, 2008, and was lovingly known as "Red". Darlene's smile, wit and laughter will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include husband, John Lee; sister Laura Hayes-Reeves; brothers Dennis Vaughn, Garry Vaughn, and Glen Vaughn; nephews and nieces Patrick Vaughn and Anita, Michael Vaughn, Shaun Hayes, Keely Hayes, Chad Hayes, Tiffany and Elizabeth Vaughn; many great nephews and nieces and a host of loving family and friends.
