"RUTH NICHOLAS-HENDERSON"
Ruth Vinette Nicholas-Henderson, of Enumclaw, passed away in Enumclaw Oct. 15, 1991. She was 98.
She was born to Vinette and Edward Hubell in Edgewood, Iowa, on July 14, 1893 and lived in Minnesota before moving to Sumner in 1922.
She was a supervisor by trade and worked for the Washington Packers Cannery in Sumner for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Irvin Nicholas. Together, they managed United Lockers in Enumclaw. She married Harvey Henderson in 1971, who also preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by daughters, Viola Carlen of Buckley and Eleanora Stone of Puyallup; Granddaughters, Leona Waner of Enumclaw, Marg Neff of Puyallup and Valerie McKnight
of Puyallup; nine great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at Hill Mortuary Chapel Friday, officiated by the Rev. Harry Oldenburger of Praise the Lord Fellowship Church in Buckley. Interment will be at Sumner City Cemetery.
Remembrances can be made to Living Court Retirement Complex, c/o Mary Ann Marks, 2229 Jensen Street, Enumclaw, Wash., 98022. Arrangements were made through Hill Mortuary in Puyallup.

Ruth was buried next to first spouse Irvin Elwood Nicholas. They were married on 18 Jan 1911.
