Alban Buckingham was the son of Alban and Mary Jeanes (Eastburn) Buckingham.

On 8 Jan 1876 after the Civil War he married Katherine H. Harkness the daughter of William & Elizabeth (Jones) Harkness.
They were married in Bethel M.E. Parsonage in Cecil Co, MD.

Alban was postmaster in Pleasant Hill. In 1886 Alban was appointed the Asst Inspector for the Delaware Grand Army of the Republic. As his tombstone shows he served in the Civil War in Company K of the 7th Regiment of the Delaware Volunteers.
