LOSEKE - Mrs. Caroline Loseke, 91, Columbus, died Friday afternoon in Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Osceola.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. H.M. Rathkamp officiating, and burial in Calvary Cemetery at St. John Church, Shell Creek. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home; 1-2 p.m. Monday at church.
Daughter of William and Christina Barner Korte, she was born May 24, 1883 at Schuyler and was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, where she married William F. Loseke, March 8, 1905.
They moved from Colfax County to a farm north of Monroe in 1913, and after her husband's death in 1943, she retired to Columbus. Since then she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. The family suggests memorials to Trinity Memorial Fund.
Surviving: five daughters, Mrs. Werner (Viola) Klug of Richland, Mrs. Carl (Lorraine) Abegglen of Grand Island, Mrs. Vincent (Ruth) Gossman of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Isabelle Treinies and Mrs. Lawrence (Evelyn) Nyffeler of Columbus; two sons, Lloyd and Willis of Platte Center; one sister, Mrs. Adolph (Emma) Hoge of Columbus; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Mrs. J.P. Hunteman, Mrs. George Loseke, Mrs. Alfred Plugge, Mrs. Amelia Behrend, Rose Korte; two brothers, Carl and Adolph Korte.
