Wanda Maxine Paxton, 80, passed from this life at 2:45 A.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2008, in a local hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 29, 2008 at North's Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery, under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation was held Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St.
Maxine was born June 12, 1928 in Ontario, Oregon to Harvey W. and Mattie Lou Crump. She married Ben Paxton on May 20, 1946 at Nampa, Idaho. They lived in various places, to include; Abilene, Texas, Marpole, British Columbia, Vale, Oregon Burley, Idaho, Boise, Idaho, Malta, Idaho, and Hawley, Texas. She attended college at Boise Junior College and Abilene Christian College pursuing a degree in primary education.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Timothy and five siblings.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Brian of Woodland, Texas, Thomas of Yukon, Oklahoma and George of Abilene, Texas. Grandchildren; Brent Paxton of Cross Plains, Texas, Wendy Paxton, Jeremy Hall and Clinton Paxton of Yukon, Oklahoma and three great-grandchildren; Bryan and Shawn Paxton of Cross Plains, Texas, Rain Hall of Yukon , Oklahoma and many adopted orphans over the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Maxine's honor to Christian Relief Fund, Box 19670, Amarillo, Texas 79114-1670 or a similar Christian charity of the donor's choice.
