Jacob Anson Willoughby, aged 88, died shortly after noon today according to information from his daughter, Mrs. Louis Andrews, who with a son, Anson Willoughby, of Sulphur, Ok., and two step children, Mrs. J.O. Hayter of this city, and Mrs. R.W. Ewing of Sulphur. Ok., survive him.
Mr. Willoughby was born Sept. 15, 1832, at Woodsborough, North Carolina but went to Alabama in 1844 where he lived until the beginning of the civil war, when he enlisted with Forrest's Cavalry. He was married to Mrs. Eliza Ford Ewing in 1877 and to them were born five children of whom only two survive.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in their loss.
