Ignatz was the son of Johann Cebulla (1813 - bef. 1858) and Margarentha Gabor (1820 - 1894), baptized 4 Feb 1849 at Sw. Marii Magdaleny, Jasiona, Poland. He arrived Galveston 3 June 1855 with his family on the Weser.
His father Johann died shortly after arriving in Texas, and his mother, now a widow with three children, married John Kindla. The families made their home together in Bandera, and welcomed the births of Anton, Ernest F. and Mary Margaret Kindla (Maggott).
