John Adamietz was the son of Simon (1802 - 24 Nov 1879) and Josepha nee Conietzko Adamietz (abt 1816 - 12 Dec 1884). The family had immigrated from Prussian-controlled Poland in 1854, were early settlers in Bandera where Josepha was well known as a midwife.

John married Constantina Pyka 10 May 1866 at St. Stanislaus Church, where the couple was active in parish affairs.

Son Valentine J. Adamietz 1875-May 5, 1921, is buried in Louisiana, FAG #25723843.

Felix Adamietz b. 18 Nov 1875 died 13 Oct 1901 in Morenci, AZ.
