Lois Dlanda Carter of Ronda passed away October 28, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.


Mrs. Carter was born February 13, 1928 in Wilkes County to Ralph David and Noma Dowell Collins.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Fred Reece Carter and a granddaughter, Melinda Carter.


Survivors include sons, Joe Carter, Ronnie Carter (Frances), Larry Carter (Bridge); Kenneth Carter (Sherry); daughter, Kathy Cheek (Billy); brothers, Pete Collins, James "Tip" Collins (Nyoaka), Harry "Boots" Collins (Imogene); sisters, Louise Collins Martin (Frankie) and Betty Rogers (David); thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.


A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
