Susan Amanda Hamilton Polite is the daughter of Daniel Hamilton and Nancy A. Hamilton Wallace Brown(Maiden name unknown).

She was called by her middle name Amanda. She married Richard Hamilton Polite in Hancock County Illinois 31 Oct 1872 and moved to the La Cygne, Linn County, Kansas / Homer, Bates County, Missouri area soon afterward.

In 1888 they were living in Larned, Pawnee County, Kansas where they gave birth to their 3rd child and 2nd daughter.

On 22 April 1889 they participated in the first Land Run into Indian/Oklahoma Territory where they homesteaded 160 acres and had a succesful farm near the then Territorial and later state Capitol Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma.

The three children where
Fredrick J Polite,
Pearl May Polite Lary,
attie Iva Polite Dyar.

Amanda is buried in Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma. She died at the age of 94 yrs out living her Husband Richard by 41 years. Richard Hamilton Polite proceeded her in death in 1913 and he was buried with his parents in Ninety Six Cemetery aka Spangler Cemetery, La Cygne, Linn County, Kansas.
