Mrs. Epsey J. Dubose George has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives under Early County. She shows proof of marriage to John A George on Sept 12, 1853 in Early County. She says he enlisted in Sept 1862 and served with Co. A of the 22 Ga Battalion until the unit surrendered in 1865 in Greensboro, N. C. She gives his death as May 1875. Proof of her own death on Dec. 11, 1922 is included in the paperwork to collect her last pension.
