Holly was born on January 22, 1973 in Colorado Springs, CO, to Robert and Linda Hartgenbush. She lived and went to school in Colorado Springs until her graduation from Air Academy High School in 1991.
In 1991 Holly moved to Grand Junction and began attending Mesa State College, where she later met Steven Greffenius. They fell in love and were married on May 14, 1994. Holly and Steve welcomed their daughter, McKenna June into their family later that year.
Holly was a devoted and loving wife and mother; her family meant everything to her. After working in Home Health Care for years, Holly became a Health Assistant at Chatfield Elementary in Grand Junction.
She leaves behind all the loving, caring teachers and students that made her life so bright and cheerful. She was a true caretaker; her kind heart blessed everyone she knew.
Holly is survived by her husband Steven, daughter McKenna of Grand Junction, father & stepmother Bob & Cindy Hartgenbush of Colorado Springs, mother Linda Zacchia of Phoenix, AZ, brother Rob Hartgenbush of Fresno, CA, and grandmother, June Warner of Colorado Springs.
Services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 27th, at Unity Church, 3205 N. 12th Street, Grand Junction.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up for Holly's daughter, McKenna Greffenius, at Wells Fargo. Donations will be accepted at any Wells Fargo Bank.
