LILLIAN INEZ GAY was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Madill, Okla., to Jim and Liza Simon Welch. She passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Okla., at the age of 90.
She was married to Grover Brantley Gay. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to play bingo.
Survivors include her two sons, Harold Gay and his wife Betty of Guthrie, and Larry Gay of Waurika; two sisters, Ruby Copeland of Bakersfield, Calif., and Aline Kerr of Wichita, Kan.; one grandson, Nick Gay and his wife Crystal and their two children, Maddie and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Jim Bert Gay, a grandson, Christopher; four brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gay will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Waurika, with Robert Jacobson officiating. Burial will be in Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
