Louisa Anna Holste is the daughter of Christoph Heinich (Henry) Holste and Louisa (Klicker)Ulrich. She was the 6th of 7 children. She was the first in the family born in America. Her parents came over in 1857 Coming through Castle Garden New York.
Louisa married William Henry Ulrich in 1881. The couple had 9 children. 2 daughters and 7 boys.
In about 1904 Louisa became sick and the doctor ordered her to move to a dry place. In 1905 the family moved to Fresno area. Leaving thier oldest daughter Anna with her new family back in Sharon Min. Once in Fresno the family had a farm and raised grapes and prunes. The farm is now in part of down town Fresno.
Louisa could never recover fully and died in 1928.
