for Carl Bjork, world war veteran,
yesterday afternoon. Funeral services
were conducted at three o'clock from the
Libbey Funeral Home with Rev. William
L. Cain of the Community church
officiating.
Carl Bjork died early Sunday morning
at his home after an illness of some time.
Be was born May 17, 1895 in Wisconsin
and came to Grand Rapids over twenty -
five years ago. He served in the world
war and was overseas, enlisting from
Grand Rapids.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Gust Bjork, Sr., seven sisters, Miss
Ann Bjork of St. Paul, Mrs. Cecella
Stadler and Mrs. Mary Tucci of Ashland,
Wisconsin, Mrs. Hulda Trombley of
Cloquet, Mrs. Katherine Aiton, Mrs.
Flossie Smith and Mrs. Florence Fuller of
Grand Rapids and three brothers, Gust,
Jr., Walter and Andrew, all of Grand
Rapids.
All of his brothers and sisters were
here for the services and his uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Johnson of
Ashland, Wisconsin also came for the
services.
