Olive Clark Thurgood passed away April 30, 1996 at Parkview Nursing Home in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born August 28, 1905 in Liberty, Utah to Charles Andrew Clark and Mary Elizabeth Chard. Married Robert Melvin Thurgood February 28, 1930, in the Salt Lake Temple. She retired from the Church Office and she held many positions in the Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, son, Dee R. (Blanche) Thurgood of Woods Cross; daughters, Helen (Keith) Hogan of West Jordan; and Beth Ann (Marlin) Dearden of Brattleboro, Vermont; and a son-in-law, Bill Bauman of Centerville; a sister, Sally Tebbs of Kaysville; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, and a daughter, LaRue Bauman.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care of their mother to the staff of Parkview Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 No. Main, Bountiful, where friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday morning one hour prior to services. Interment, Liberty, Utah.
