She was born Oct. 16, 1913, in Loami, the daughter of Logan L. and Estella Nichols Lindsay.
Preceding her in death were her parents; only brother, Clarence B. Lindsay Sr.; and a nephew, Rodney S. Lindsay.
She spent much of her early life in Chatham when her parents moved there from Loami in 1916. She was a retired employee of the First National Bank of Springfield. Previously she had worked at the John Bressmer Co. for 11 years, during the depression years. She was a lifelong and oldest member of Chatham United Methodist Church, taking an active part in Sunday school till moving to Springfield in 1958.
After retiring she did volunteer work at Illinois Presbyterian Home for over 30 years. She was a member of Springfield Civic Garden Club where she helped to plant flowers in the downtown area for visitors and our own people to enjoy.
She is survived by two nephews, Clarence B. Lindsay (wife, Norene) of Washington Island, WI and Larry L. Lindsay (wife, Linda) of Winona, MN; and five great-nieces and nephews.
Service at Chatham United Methodist Church. Burial in Chatham Cemetery.
