Vincent "Pat" Dwyer was the youngest of seven children of Daniel and Ellen (Corbett) Dwyer of Philadelphia. Pat married Helen (Max) Dwyer at Our Lady Help of Christians RC Church on 29 September 1934. They had three children (Ann 1935, Helen 1938, and Edward 1951). The family lived most of their lives in Philadelphia, in the Richmond and Kensington sections of the city. Pat was a truck driver and electrician for most of his working days.
