Grace Agnes Brazil, 88, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Lakepoint Nursing Home in Rose Hill, Kansas.
She was born Aug. 28, 1912, in St. Paul, Kansas, the daughter of W.W. and Grace May O'Bryan.
She graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, and received her nursing degree from St. Louis University.
She married William A. "Bill" Brazil in St. Paul in 1940, and he preceded her in death.
She practiced and taught nursing all her life.
She was also preceded by an infant son, Charles Edward; seven brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Tom of Yates Center, KS, Paul of Chanute, KS, and Michael of Parkville, MO; four daughters, Jean Bilgere of Richardson, TX, Fran Hawley of Andover, TX, Lorean Ruggles of Scottsdale, AZ, and Janet Williams of Carthage, MO; a brother, John O'Bryan of Altamont, KS; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Chanute, KS, Monday. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.
Gibson-Koch-Friskel Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
