Cora May Hupp, daughter of Samuel and Mary Murdock Hupp, was born April 30, 1867, near Middleburg, Ohio. She departed this life February 27, 1948 at the age of 80 years, nine months and 27 days.

She was united in marriage July 4, 1885 to Orin B. Tilton. To this union were born ten children, five of whom survive: Gertha Radcliff, Cleo Tilton, Alfred Tilton; Hal Tilton and Willard Tilton. One son, Ford G. Tilton, departed this life August 12, 1940. One daughter and three sons died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death on April 1, 1943.

She united with the United Brethren church at the age of 13 and has lived a consistent Christian life.

Besides her children, she is survived by fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
