RUBY REECE-COLE Passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at San Leandro Hospital. She was 81. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, she was a resident of Alameda County for 57 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reece in 1997, and her sisters Inez and Maxine, and her brother, Dick. She was the loving wife of Doyle Cole, of Hayward, devoted mother of Patricia Brown (Charlie), of Castro Valley, caring stepmother of Fred Congdon (Karen). Nancy McAllister (Bob), Nancy Carol David (Bob), and J.C. Cole (Darrel), cherished Grandmother of Michael Brown (Jamie), and Tiffany Wilkinson (Dean), step Grandmother of Kevin and Brian Congdon, Kim Hann on, Teri Issac, Michael David, Holly Sneddon, Nancy Cuthertson, Kathy Lieb, and Karen Clark. She was the Great Grandmother of 5, Step Great Grandmother of 18, and Step Great, Great Grandmother of 2. She also leaves her sister, Leona Price, of Phoenix, AZ, sisters-in-law, Frances Stark, and Bernice Martin, brother-in-law, Glenn Sorrells, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby worked at Sunshine Biscuit Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She loved to cook, sew, and in her retirement she made many porcelain dolls for family and friends. She treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends are invited to attend services, Monday, September 15, 2003, at 10:00 A.M. at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward. Visitation Sunday, September 14, 2003 from 5:00 to 8:30 P.M.
