Margaret Elizabeth Weber, 84, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008. Margaret was born on August 12, 1924 in Amsterdam, Netherlands to Mr. Nicholas Weber and Mrs. Elisabeth Spaans Weber. Margaret was a woman of seeming contradictions. Known as an outspoken individual, her sometimes gruff exterior masked a heart of gold. She was thrifty, yet she loved to shop. A tenacious pit-bull of a fighter, she was filled with charity. Everything she did, she did to the best of her ability, and this is what she expected of others. Well past the age of retirement, she was a dedicated employee of Daydream Heirlooms, and she used her skills as a seamstress to fashion christening gowns, flower girl dresses, and communion dresses. A faithful servant of the Lord, she was an active member of Wesconnett Baptist Church for more than twenty years. She fought during life; she has now gone to her rest. She is preceded in death by her daughter, RoseMarie Belanger, 2 brothers and her sister. Margaret is survived by her son, Gary L. McCullough (Pam) of Charlotte, NC; 1 brother, Thomas Weber; 2 grandchildren, Kim Holland (Mike) of Warrenton, NC and Paige Belanger of Tallahassee, FL and her 3 great-grandchildren, Payton, Noah, and Trinity. The family visitation to greet friends will be held from 4:00pm until 6:30pm, Monday, today, August 25, 2008 at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244 with Margaret's Funeral Service at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Warwick Cemetery in Warwick, New York. In lieu of flowers you may send memorials to Wesconnett Baptist Church, 5711 Wesconnett Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244.
