Charlie was a stationary engineer and helped with the construction of the Mahaska Co courthouse in Oskaloosa.
Charles F. Bacon, 918 South Second Street, age 79, died at the Abbott hospital at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning, April 9, 1939. Survivors are his wife, Sarah; three daughters. Mrs. Edna Morrison of Grinnell, Mrs. Bernice Dusenberry of Evans and Mrs. Jennie Phillips of Denver, Colo., and one son, Will DeFrehn of Oskaloosa. Funeral services will be held at Wilcox- Garland chapel at 2 :00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Charles M. Edmondson in charge. Burial at Forest cemetery.
