Mrs. Annie Lathrop Eaton Dies August 5
Annie Eaton, nee Lathrop, was born September 2, 1878 in Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Mary Lathrop and passed away at her home in the town of Ludington early August 5, 1942, at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 2 days.
In 1884 she moved with her parents to Durand, Wis, where she attended most of her schooling. Later the family moved to the town of Ludington. Here she met and was married to Robert Eaton on January 17, 1896. Mr. Eaton preceded her in death , Dec 16, 1910. to this union eight children were born, four of whom survive, namely: Claude, town of Ludington; Harry, town of Bridge Creek; Lydia (Mrs. Scott Baker, town of Ludington; Cora, Mrs. Roy Livermore, Augusta. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, two sisters; Mrs. Lillie Olson, Eau Claire; Mrs. Horace Wilbur, Stanley; one brother, Fred Lathrop, Eau Claire; Seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 1942 from the Harch Funeral Home, the Rev. Thayer Fisher officiating. Interment took place in the Ludington cemetery.
