MRS. SUSAN ALTMAN PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Susan Altman, a pioneer lady of this county died at her home, 807 South Blanchard street about 5 o'clock Sunday morning, of erysipelas. Mrs. Altman was eighty-four years of age and has lived in this county since she was fifteen years of age, coming to this county with her husband Jacob Altman, now deceased.
They came for Pickaway county, Ohio, and settled on a farm in Marion township. She has lived in the by for twenty years. The deceased was the mother of eight children, five of whom are still living. They are Mrs. W. A. Spaythe, Mrs. George Elsea, Mrs. John Baymiller, Mrs. W. T. Platt, Nelson Altman, of Marion township and George Altman, deceased.
The funeral will be held at Bethlehem church at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, the cortage (sic) leaving the late home at 9 o'clock, and interment will take place in Alspach cemetery. The pallbearers will consist of the oldest grandson in each family. Rev. Crabbs will conduct the services.
