Mrs. Lilly was a native of Patrick county, Va., but the major portion of her life was spent in the community in which she lived and died. She was a highly respected old lady, a dutiful wife and devoted mother and was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church.
She leaves four daughters - Mrs George Sweeney and Mrs. W. O McGinnis, of Ghent, and Mrs. T. E. Moye and Mrs. Amos Epperly, of Oxley, and four sons, viz: T. H. and E. W. Lilly, of Hinton, B. B., of Flat Top, and Lundy Lilly, of Ghent.
The remains were laid to rest, Monday, on the old home place near Flat Top, beside those of her late husband, who preceded her to the final rest six years ago. A brief funeral service was conduced by Rev. Bryant.
