Tipton Conservative, August, 1983 - Funeral services for Kenneth S. Lovell, 55, Tipton, were held July 28 at Sheets and Son Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Rev. Bruce Wiliams officiating. Pallbearers were Tony Woods, Gary Buck and David, Warren, Roger and Frankie Dean Lovell. Burial was in the Rochester cemetery. Mr. Lovell died July 26 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City. He was born July 26, 1928 in Rochester to George and Ethel Morgan Lovell. He attended the rural Cedar county schools. Mr. Lovell married Rita Williams May 18, 1948 in Lisbon. He married Mary Ann Eliason Nov. 18, 1978 in Nashua. He was a former employee at the VA hospital in Iowa City and worked for the county in recent years. He was a life resident of the Rochester area. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Jeanette, Scottsdale, AZ.; 2 sons, Dennis, West Branch and Bruce, Iowa City; 9 grandchildren; his mother, Ethel Yerington, Rochester and 2 brothers, William and Frank, both of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his father, a half brother and a half sister.
