There is a discrepancy between this record and the age on Conrad Miller's tombstone in Salem Cemetery, Ligonier, Noble Co. Indiana which states at his death on September 11, 1846 his age is 83 years, 11 months and 20 days. This places his birth on September 22, 1862. Uncertain if the error in on this stone or in the translation of the German church records.
The 1810 census of Pendleton Virginia lists Conrad's age between 26-44 (b. 1766-1784) and his wife Mary as 16-25. The 1820 census of Pendleton Virginia Conrad and his wife Mary are listed as over 45 years. (born before 1775) The 1830 census of Madison, Highland Co. Ohio Conrad and Mary are both listed between 50-60 years. (b. 1770-1780) The 1840 census of Perry, Noble Co. Indiana, Conrad is listed as between 70-80 years (b.1760-1770) and Mary is listed as between 60-70 years of age.

According to a letter written to Florence Brown of Winchester, Indiana from Evelyn Banes of Keyser, West Virginia both Miller descendants and researchers, Conrad Miller and family moved from Pendleton Co. Virginia(now West Virginia) to either Fairfield County or Highland County Ohio on September 16, 1825. Conrad Miller Sr. does appear in the 1830 census of Madison Township, Highland County Ohio. About 1832 Conrad Miller and family moved to Noble County Indiana.

Conrad Miller Sr. served in Capt. J. Hopkin's Company of the Pendleton County Virginia Militia. Conrad appears with his brothers George and John in the Muster Roll dated September 6, 1794.
