William Kembery, the son of Thomas and Sarah Kembery, was born on a farm south of Bridgewater, Iowa on June 28, 1872. He passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa from diabetes, complicated by a heart ailment on October 10, 1941 at the age of 69 years, 3 months, and 12 days.
He married Stella Belle Strawback on December 20, 1899. They moved to their present farm which he had in readiness and where they spent 42 years of life together. They had 4 children: Olive Gertrude, Clarice Velma, twins Maurice Rollan and Harold Wayne.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Maude.
He is survived by his wife and 4 children and 1 granddaughter.
