Margaret Avery, 89, of Hudson, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 21, 1918 in Greenport, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Delilah (Carney) Christiana.
Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are three sons, Jacob Coons, Jr. of Nassau, Loren Speer of Niverville, and John Wolfe of Hudson and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and neices and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Avery, and two sons, Raymond Coons and George Speer.
A calling hour will begin at 10am Monday at the Bates & Anderson - Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Services will follow at 11am Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Stuyvesant Falls Cemetery.
Her first husband was George Cecil Speer AKA Milton Earnest Speer (Note: he went by George Cecil Speer from 1934 to abt 1940. From 1940 to 1967 he went by the name of Milton Earnest Speer.) They had two sons, George Cecil Speer Jr. and Loren William Speer.
Her second husband was Jacob Mesick Coons. They had two sons, Jacob Mesick Coons Jr. and Raymond Coons.
Her third marriage was to John Wolfe. They had a son John Wolfe Jr.
She married a forth time to William J. Avery.
