Glenola "Fern" Mills-Walker, age 92 of Beaver, WV passed away at her home on Easter Sunday April 5, 2015.

Born on March 4, 1923 at Egeria, she was the daughter of the late Oley Johnson Mills (1895-1952) & Victoria Ellen Meadows-Mills (1896-1939). Mrs. Walker was a former employee of Pinecrest Hospital with 20 years of service, and was a member of the Grace Primitive Baptist Church at Shady Spring, WV.

Mrs. Walker enjoyed taking care of her family, flowering, gardening, quilting and crocheting. She was an amazing cook and loved preparing everyone their favorite food.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Karl "Mason" Walker (1923-1975) whom she married on November 6, 1938 in Beckley, Raleigh County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Raleigh County, WV, 1948, Page 396, Application Date: November 3, 1948); an infant daughter, Connie Gay Walker (1952-1952); her siblings, Nina Athelene Mills-Graham (1921-1971), Ilene Destine Mills-Boyd (1926-2006), Oley Dale Mills (1928-1929), Ernest Dexter Mills (1929-1977), and Lila Elizabeth-Mills-Crookshanks (1932-2010); and her half siblings, Delmer Garlen Mills (1915-1997), Arbrie Emil Mills (1917-1942), & Lila "Alastia" Mills-Tilley (1919-1991).

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Oley Dale Walker (B. 1947) & wife Charlene Walker of Daniels, Linda Kay Walker-Smith (B. 1949) of Grandview, Jesse German Walker (1951-2020) and his wife Dianna Walker of Shady Spring, Drema Mae Walker-McGrady (B. 1955) & husband Daniel McGrady of Bunker Hill, WV, and Donna Rae Walker (B. 1954) and Debra Fay Walker (B. 1958) of Beaver, with whom she had made her home; a sister, Dora Mae Mills-Richardson (B. 1924) of Parkersburg, WV; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at noon with Pastor Richard Carbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at the Keaton Mills Cemetery at Egeria.
