Samuel Milton England was born Dec. 20th, 1860, in Jefferson county, Ohio, and passed out of this life on the 30th of March in the 55th year of his life. He was of English-Irish descent. His ancestors came to American about the middle of the 18th century and formed a part of the Quaker colony under the direction of William Penn. The Englands were descended from two other families, the Vales and the Garretsons. From a family record tree we learn that the trustees of the Penn grant gave to Robert Vale a tract of 1,000 acres in the "Barren" at Round Top, near Warrington, later another grant was made dated September 17, 1744.

The descendants of these forebears were honest, industrious people, very pious and sincere in their religious convictions.

On Nov. 9, 1884, Mr. England was united in marriage to Emily Stark. Seven children came to bless this home, three daughters have already passed to the other land. Those living are by name: Mrs. Myrtle Taylor, Harvey Milton, Howard Samuel and Lola Elizabeth. Mr. Samuel England was a brother of the late John England. He also leaves a sister residing at Yuma, Ariz., and a nephew and a niece who live in Cheyenne.

Those best acquainted with Mr. England speak well of him. He was known in this community as an honest, industrious, upright man. His neighbors speak of many acts of kindness which he performed in their behalf. He was one who had consideration for those less fortunate than himself.

His wife and her family have the sympathy of their many friends.
