Mrs. Louisa Artist passed away at 12:15 o'clock this morning after a prolonged illness from cancer, having survived her husband after nearly two score years of married life, just one week.

Mrs. Artist was born in Pennsylvania sixty-one years ago and came to Cheyenne in 1873 with her husband, residing here continuously since that time. She is survived by five children, Mrs. William Wolcott, Mrs. B. O. Whittington, C. Edward Artist and George Artist, all of Cheyenne, and Harry Artist of Denver.

Mrs. Artist was a woman of many noble qualities and made countless friends by her sweet, gentle disposition. To know her was to love her and her death will be mourned by a large circle of sympathizing friends.
