The following death notice appeared in the Cheyenne, Wyoming, newspaper:
"Evert E. Hunnel Sr. of 2802 Bent died Thursday at Memorial Hospital. He was 76.
"He was born October 26, 1913, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, and had been a resident of Cheyenne since 1939.
"Hunnell married Vivian D. Beaver, March 3, 1934, in Kimball, Nebraska.
"He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman until his retirement after 38 years of service. In addition he belonged to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
"Hunnell is survived by his wife Vivian of Cheyenne; his children, Evertice Paulson and Evert E. Hunnel Jr. both of Cheyenne, Velda McLarney of Rochester, New York, Elvin E. Hunnell of Cave Springs, Georgia, and Nola Lehman of Solvang, California; a brother, Harold Hunnel; and four sisters, Leslie Hunnel [actually a brother], Fern Young, Nola Lemar, and Alice Beaver; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
"He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Charles Hunnell.
"Services are scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. at Schrader Chapel with Rev. Ralph Sines officiating.
"Pallbearers will be Evert Hunnel Jr., Elvin Hunnel, Greg Paulson, Glen Lehman, Eric Paulson, and Al Wood.
"Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery. [He is actually at Beth El Cemetery.]
"Friends who wish may contribute to the American Heart Fund."
NOTE: He may have been moved at a later date to Beth El Cemetery where his wife is buried.
