Freddie K. Bleeker, 85, of Brownwood, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, in the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Wayne Horton officiating. Interment will follow at San Saba City Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

She passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, in Brownwood at a local nursing home.

Freddie Katherine Gunter was born on Dec. 5, 1920, in San Saba County, the daughter of Fred N. Gunter and Etoyle Myers Gunter. She was raised in the China Creek Community and attended school in San Saba. She married F.E. "Jack" Bleeker in Brown County on May 5, 1957. She was a longtime resident of Brownwood and a member of the Early Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Valera Canoy; her son, Richard Neal White of Brownwood; grandchildren; Janine Elizabeth Gers, Katherine Ranee Theriaque, Shanna Nicole Aldridge and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred N Gunter, Etoyle Gunter; husband Furman Elmo [Jack] Bleeker; son, Robert James Hickey; daughter, Virginia Nell Hickey; one infant sister; sister, Eloise Clark; and grandson Johnny Ray Allredge Jr.
