Ruben Perry Hulse was the son of George Hamilton Hulse and Sarah M. Knight. Wife Anna Lura [Marion] Hulse was the daughter of William Henry Marion and Elizabeth Jane [Vanhoose] Marion. Ruben P. Hulse and Annie L. Marion were married October 18, 1902, in Smith Center, Smith Co., Kansas, by W. J. Meredith, Minister of the Gospel. Mr. Hulse's 1907 death left Anna with two young children -- Mildred Grace Hulse and Cecil Marion Hulse.
