All members of the family of a young Leesburg minister were killed Thursday afternoon when the tornado swept away their new home.

Killed were Rev. Marvin Pruitt, 38; his wife, Betty Lucille Alford Pruitt, 32; their children, Johnny Marshall Pruitt, 7, Rebecca Kaye Pruitt, 6, and Mark Anthony Pruitt, 3, and Mrs. Pruitt's mother, Mrs. Mary Alford of Crystal Springs.

Funeral services for the five members of the Pruitt family were held Saturday afternoon, March 5, at 3:00 o'clock form the Ott & Lee Funeral Home chapel in Forest. Rev. Edgar Smith of Route 2, Morton, and Rev. Ado Hunt of Gulfport officiated, with interment in Leesburg Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alford were held Monday at Crystal Springs.

Rev. Pruitt was a pastor of the Church of Christ and was a farmer. His survivors are four sisters, Mrs. James Steadham and Mrs. Curtis Allen, both of Pelahatchie, Mrs. Jessie Harrell of Brandon, and Mrs. Louis Everett of Meridian; and four brothers, Ed Pruitt of Lena, John Pruitt and Marcie Pruitt, both of Pelahatchie, and Jim Pruitt of Meridian.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Maryland Bennett and Mrs. Richard May, both of Florence, Mrs. John Windham of Jackson, Mrs. Kathy Pauser and Mrs. Rocky Wilson, both of Crystal Springs, and Mrs. Zelma Farmer of Theodore, Ala.; seven brothters, Jerry Alford of Forest, Arthur Alford of Jackson, Alvin Alford of Raymond, David, Marvin, William and Uyless Aflord, all of Crystal Springs.
