Harold David Cook, 100, formerly of Columbus and Mooresville, died Thursday morning, Sept. 27, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor at Hope.
Mr. Cook was a member of Mooresville Masonic Lodge and owned Gause Café for 40 years, retiring in 1971.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mooresville Cemetery. There will be no calling.
Arrangements were made by Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Moorsville.
Mr. Cook was born in Mooresville April 14, 1901, the son of Charles C. and Emma Dakin Cook. He was the widower of Jean Elizabeth App Cook, who died in 1975.
Survivors include a son, Robert Cook of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Betty Lou Cook and Joan Carr, and a son, Richard Cook.
