U.S. Army Sergeant Major (Retired) William A. Easter, 62, Independence, MO, went to be with our Lord July 5, 2004. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Jackson County Veteran's Field of Honor in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO. Mr. Easter was born February 28, 1942, in Houston, TX. He served his country honorably in the US Army for 25 years, serving in Vietnam where he was awarded the Silver Star for bravery, and the Purple Heart for wounds he received. SgtMjr. Easter had a deep love for his Lord, his Family, and his Country. He was preceded in death by his mother Ona Elaine Easter. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Easter; four sons, Bret and his wife Laurie, Bart and his wife Kathy, 1st Sgt. (Ret.) William Easter, and Burke Easter, and daughter Shelly and her husband Captain Jeff Mullins; 11 grandchildren; his father Marion L. Easter; sister Catherine Eaton and husband Raymond; and numerous other families and friends, all of whom love, respected, and who will miss him so very much.
