Joel Chitwood, twin of Jonathan Chitwood, died at age 22 in a fall from a ladder while installing a furnace ventilator for the Holland Furnace Company. He was unmarried and had been living with his next younger brother, Robert at the time. Joel and Jonathan were sons of Jonathan "John" Elswick and Susie (Chitwood).
