Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Maurine was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Fort Worth to Lillian and Joseph Bedwell. She was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurie G. Melton, in 1975; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Sons, Maurice Hawkins and wife, Shirley and Randy Melton; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

In 1936 she married Maurice Allen Hawkins, and the couple had one son Maurice Allen Hawkins, Jr. Her second marriage was to Laurie Green Melton.
