Mr. Eldean "Buddy" Berry, 71, died Sunday (August 17, 2008) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Berry; his parents, Enoch Horace Berry and Myrtie Jeffords Berry; and a sister, Lucille Hurst.

He was a former employee of the Pontiac-Cadillac Dealership in Waycross and was retired owner of his own site prep business.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Ford Berry of Waycross; two sons, Ronnie Berry (wife Renee) of Waycross, Robbie Berry (wife Christi) of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Brittany and Haley Berry both of Homerville; a special nephew, Cecil "Pete" Hurst of Waycross; and numerous other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (August 19, 2008) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6 until 8.
