Son of James Dean and Elender Fry. Married to Nancy M Dean in 1871 in McMinn Co TN, then to Malinda Higginbotham 1875 in Polk co Mo, died 1882; then to Susan P Ammermann in 1883, in Polk Co MO, and Artamis (Artie) Brockus 1887.

Tulare Advance-Register, 11/20/1903, Friday
J F Dean, Farmersville, died at that place Wednesday evening. He had been a resident of that place for the past two years, having come there from Missouri. He was a native of Tennessee and 59 years of age.

In the petition for letters of administration of Jehu's estate, estate filed in 4/1907, heirs at law are:
Mrs. Lizzie Buckels, of Los Angeles, and Miss Mattie Dean, R.F. Dean, Lloyd Dean, and Stanford Dean, the petitioner, all children of the deceased, and residing at Farmersville. Charles G and Frank Lamberson are attorneys for the petitioner.
Property was described as lot 220 in Kirkland's addition in Farmersville, containing 3 acres, and valued at $800.
