Son of Garnett 'Daud' and Virginia 'Gibson'Adkins, Delmar went home to be with the Lord on Friday August 15, 2008,At New Life Hospice Center Lorain ,Ohio.Following a lengthy illness.He was born August 9, 1934 in Midkiff West Virginia. He gratuded from Guyan Valley High School where he was an anvid band member. Playing the Tuba.In Lorain he worked at Fruehauf Trailers, Then became a hightly respected automobile saleman at various Ford dealership untill retiring after 45 years.He and his family were active member of the Family Fellowship Four Square Church Amherest, Ohio.Where they have lived since 1955.Service were held at the church August 20, 2008. Burial was Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery South Amherest, Ohio.
Surviving are his Loving wife of 57 years Doris Lucille "Godfrey" Adkins.Two childern and six grandchildern He was proceded in death by his Mother Virginia"Gibson" Adkins in 2005, His Father Garnett"Daud Adkins and his brother Mike "Bud" Adkins in 2007.
Mike lived the last fifteen years of his life living his dream of running his own ranch on 800 acrea in Sand Spring Okla.Raising horses and cattle. also Mike was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a Sergeant.he also own 3 service station ,and threw his life he worked for Ford Dealership selling Heavy Equipement.Trucks and also was an Auto Tranmission Mechant. Mike is buried at the Garnett Adkins Family Cemetery at Midkif WV with his parents.
