BELLEFONTE-Father of a two months old son, Technician Fifth Grade Charles R. Breon, 22, is missing in action in Belgium, his wife, Virginia Gummon Breon, of Pleasant View, has been notified. Breon has been unreported since Dec. 17.

THREE WHO GO INTO SERVICE SAME TIME, DIE
BELLEFONTE-Lists released by the war department during the week-end revealed that two Centre county soldiers were killed in action and two are missing in action. They are Pvt. Donald Bloom, aged 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bloom of Pleasant View, killed in action in Belgium on Dec. 17; T/5 Charles R. Breon, aged 22, husband of the former Virginia Gummon of Sunnyside, Bellefonte, killed in action Dec. 17 in Belgium; Pfc. Harold Rossman, aged 30, husband of the former Martha Rossman of Bellefonte, seriously wounded in action in Belgium on Jan. 17, and Lt. Francis E. Marshall, aged 22, husband of the former Love Auman of Bellefonte, seriously wounded in action in Germany on Jan. 14. Pvt. Bloom, T/5 Breon and Pfc. Donald Flack of Bellefonte, who was reported killed in a previous telegram to his mother, Mrs. Ruth Flack of Bellefonte, late last week, all entered service on the same day, Jan. 19, 1943, trained at the same camps, went overseas, fought and died together. Pvt. Bloom is survived by his parents, William and Viola Hassinger Bloom of Pleasant View, and these brothers, Pfc William and Cpl. Mahlon, both now in France, and Herbert and Dale, at home.
