Alma, 92, of Victoria, died on September 27, 2005. She was born Nov. 3, 1912, in Victoria, to the late Clay and Effie R. Newman. She was a homemaker and a member of College Church of Christ, 4-H Club, and Independent Cattleman's Association. Survivors: daughter, Mary Ann Weir; sons, David G. Parsons and John G. Parsons; sisters, Betty Bowers, Jane Yaws, and Lydia Smith; brothers, Sam Newman, Arthur Newman, Roy Newman, and Charlie Newman; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.


Preceded in death by: husband, James G. Parsons
