He was the son of Robert Allison and Lenora (Willis) Arnold. He grew up in Farris and in Centerpoint, as his family followed the cotton crops and its harvesting. He joined the United States Marines at the end of World War II. He married Betty Parker on June 1, 1949, in Kiowa. He worked for years at the Untied States Naval Ammunition Depot and was transferred to California to the Naval Weapons Center, where he spent the next 27 years. He retired as a logistic management specialist. He served as the mayor of Kiowa for four years, was on the Kibois Board of Directors, and was a member of Kiowa First Baptist Church. He was a resident of Kiowa and passed away at the age of 81 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. He served as the mayor of Kiowa for four years, was on the Kibois Board of Directors, and was a member of Kiowa First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Arnold, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger and Mariko Arnold, Reno, Nev., and Charles Bradley Arnold, of McAlester. Also, a grandson, Alex Arnold, Reno, Nev.; a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Eva Mae Arnold, of Tulsa; a sister-in-law, Elderine Arnold, of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darren Alexander, Jim Ryan, Danny Drake, Kenneth Battles, Richard Choate, and Lee Sartor. Honorary pallbearers will be Kiowa First Baptist Church Men's Bible School class. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Idell Flowers and Crystale Arnold, and three brothers, Leslie Arnold, Arvil Arnold, and Oscar Arnold. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Kiowa First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Piearcy and the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
