Charlie "Doc" Lynn, 58, died at his home, four miles southwest of Benton at 8:45 last evening.
He was a son of the late Edmond and Josephine Lynn, and had formerly been employed as a miner at the New Orient mine.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Forest Church southwest of Benton, at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with Rev. Todd Taylor officiating. The body will be laid to rest in the Masonic and Odd Fellows cemetery, under direction of the Freeman Funeral Home.
Note: Birth certificate states Sept 14, 1888; Death certificate states Sept 12, 1888.
Note: His obit states his funeral to be at Forrest Baptist Church in Benton, but my father remembers it to be at Trinity Baptist Church in West City at the northwest corner of West Division and Central Streets (building now torn down).
